Reaching Out To Others Through The Hands of God And The Light of His Guidance
Pastor Thomas E. Douglas participated in
the Our Kids Independent Living
Graduation held at the Cosford Cinema on
the University of Miami Campus. This was
a special occasion for adopted and foster
care youth who were in transition out of
foster care and into young adulthood.
Many of them were headed to colleges
across the country. Several were accepted
into Ivy League schools.
This event marked the achievements of
young people who succeed in spite of
insurmountable odds. Tracey Mourning,
wife of Miami Heat's Alonzo Mourning and I
participated in the program. We
encouraged the graduates to continue to
excel and always keep God in the forefront
of their life.
Many other television news personalities,
dignitaries, city and community leaders
were present to witness this joyful
occasion.
